Unique, hand-woven Ikat cushions.

Handmade in London, our exclusive collection of cushions is a unique blend of Uzbekistan Silk Velvet Ikat, and Irish Linen. Each cushion represents a perfect mixture of culture, history, and tradition.

Let us take you on a journey to the Fergana Valley of Uzbekistan, home of beautiful ikat silk. Ikat refers to the hundred years old dyeing technique used to create the design of a particular image on a piece of fabric. It is a process in which bundles of yarn are tightly wrapped and dyed as many times as necessary to create the desired pattern or a shade.

This unique craft requires delicate skills that are reflected in the endurance and calmness of a weaver, yet, as a true counterpart to the life it represents, the uniqueness of the ikat technique is represented through vaguely defined edges of images and in the impossibility of creating an absolutely accurate motif.

We round off the story in Northern Ireland, home to one of the most beautiful linen in the world with abundant history. Baird McNutt, the company we work with, has a more than 200-year-old tradition of producing one of the highest quality linens in the world. Made out of the finest cotton fibres carefully processed to create unusually soft and fine linen damask fabrics, this high-quality linen creates the finest finishing lining to our exclusive kilim pillows.

Perfectly transformed into elements of modern decor, our Uzbekistan Silk Ikat and Irish Linen cushions are an ideal addition to your armchair, sofa, or bed, representing the epitome of the cultural diversity of its proud origins.
