I don’t know about you, but I’m starting to feel that (whisper it) summer has finally arrived, and being British, this means I am trying to spend as much time outside as possible.

For me, nothing beats dining in the great outdoors, long lunches turning into long suppers and hours of merriment whiled away surrounded by good food and even better company. Grab your trestle tables, your linens, your tableware and of course your candles for those late summer evenings and create your dream open-air dining room. Then invite your friends round to show off your barbecuing prowess or perhaps, if cooking isn’t your thing, just your excellent taste in rosé.

But remember, this is still England after all, so don’t forget your umbrella ;)

The linens you choose can really set the tone for your outdoor dining area. Personally, I prefer to opt for simple patterns which gives me more flexibility when it comes to decorating my table.
