Glass & Ceramic Candlesticks
Mouth blown Ancient Egyptian art.
Travel back over four thousand years to the banks of the winding Nile in North-Eastern Africa. Here you’ll find yourself in the Old Kingdom of Egypt, celebrated as the ‘Age of the Pyramids’ and a golden time in Egyptian history.
As the pyramids began to shape the skyline, the kingdom’s artisans started to explore the craft of glassmaking and so a new tradition was born. This skill has travelled down through the centuries to modern-day Egypt where talented glassblowers uphold their history by continuing this work today.
Our colourful collection of glass candlesticks was designed by Issy in celebration of this rich history and mouth-blown and hand-painted by artisans in Cairo. As the candlesticks are all handmade, no two are quite the same. Each one has been made with precision and skill and is both a practical glass candle holder and an exquisite piece of art.
As the light dances off and through these elegant glass candlesticks, they are an eye-catching addition to a mantelpiece or dining table. Tall glass candle holders sit beautifully as single statement pieces, in pairs and when combined with other designs from the collection.
