Our Merino Wool Throws are woven in the heartland of British textiles.
Famed for its wild moors and rolling dales, Yorkshire sits in the North of England and is the celebrated producer of some of the world’s finest textiles. Following the boom of the 18th century’s Industrial Revolution, Yorkshire sung to the tune of the click-clack of woollen looms for decades as the skilled industry expanded across the county.
Our exquisitely soft Merino Lambswool throws are proudly made in Yorkshire in one of the last remaining vertical woollen mills in Britain. Founded in 1837, the mill has a reputation of exceptional quality and produces fabric made with the finest sustainably sourced Merino Wool. Once the wool arrives at the mill, it goes through the long and technical process of scouring, dying, blending, carding, spinning, warping, weaving, scouring (for a second time), milling and finishing. An incredibly lengthy process that results in the creation of our exquisite luxury soft throws.
Yorkshire-born Issy worked with the design team at the mill to create the exclusive wide-stripe design that makes our throws so unique. They are incredibly soft, lightweight, and wonderfully warm - the perfect addition to a sofa, armchair, or bed. In three stunning shades of green, blue, and raspberry strips, these blankets sit beautifully in the home across all seasons.
Collectively named The Poet’s Throws, our three striped throws are named after three of Issy’s favourite poets Lord Byron, Edna St Vincent Millay, and Christina Rossetti.
