Shop the Look: The Spring/Summer Table Edit
If you're the kind of person who thinks a beautiful table is just as important as whatever's being served on it, you're in the right place. This season we've been obsessing over the art of the spring summer table setting, and we've put together a dreamy look using some of our favourite Issy Granger pieces. From handblown Egyptian glassware to the softest linen napkins, here's exactly how to shop it.
The Glassware: Where It All Starts
Let's be honest, great glassware is the thing that takes a table from nice to genuinely memorable. And nothing does that quite like the Pom Collection.
The Blue Pom Tumbler, Green Pom Tumbler, Blue Pom Wine Glass and Green Pom Wine Glass are all mouth-blown by skilled artisans in Cairo, Egypt, and finished with hand-applied glass dots we've nicknamed "poms" because they reminded us of little pompoms. Each piece is completely unique, no two are ever identical, and they catch the light in a way that mass-produced glassware simply never will.
For a spring/summer table, we love mixing the blue and green tumblers together for water - it instantly makes the table feel more playful and considered at the same time. For wine, we went with the Blue Pom Wine Glass for red wine and the Green Pom Wine Glass for white wine, though honestly the only rule is that you enjoy drinking from them, which is very easy to do.
This is the kind of colourful glassware that works just as well at a smart dinner party as it does at a laid-back Sunday lunch. It also makes an absolutely brilliant wedding gift or birthday gift for anyone who takes their table seriously!
The Candlestick Holders: Tall, Beautiful, a Bit Magical
Two candlestick holders, two very different moods, both completely beautiful. The Ombo Glass Candle Holder is tall and elegant, the kind of piece that earns its place on the table all year round. The Luxor Glass Candle Holder is shorter and more sculptural, with the same hand-applied glass dots as the Pom glassware, which ties everything together in the most satisfying way.
For candles, we paired Hellebore Green Dinner Candles in the Ombo and Larkspur Blue Dinner Candles in the Luxor. Those soft, botanical tones are exactly right for this time of year. Light them before your guests arrive and the whole room shifts. It's a small thing that makes a big difference.
The Jug: A Vase in Disguise
The Marsyas Ceramic Jug is one of those pieces that earns its place on the table in more ways than one. The sculptural relief detail makes it genuinely beautiful to look at even when it's empty, but fill it with loose seasonal blooms and fresh greenery and it becomes the natural centrepiece of the whole table. We used pink flowers here with a few sprigs of greenery tucked in for good measure. The slightly undone, garden-gathered look suits it perfectly.
It's also a wonderful gift. The kind of thing someone opens and immediately knows it's special.
The Napkins and Napkin Rings: The Details That Do the Most
This is where the real fun is. Our Pink Double Piped Linen Napkins (Set of Four) have the most beautiful green piping detail that feels very spring, very considered, and very Issy Granger. Linen napkins are always a good idea, they soften with every wash and look better slightly relaxed rather than starched within an inch of their life.
Paired with the Multicoloured Squiggle Glass Napkin Rings (Set of Four), they become the detail on the table that everyone asks about. Trust us on this one!
